Hike to Tunnel Slot Canyon, Utah

Tunnel Slot Canyon is located in Escalante National Monument in Utah. As the name implies, is a short section of slot resembling a tunnel. It's a very short slot and no obstacles, but has lots of moqui balls. To reach Tunnel Slot, go down Harris Wash a little less than a mile from Zebra Slot Canyon to the first side canyon coming in on the left. Go up this canyon to reach the Tunnel (about 10 minutes). The canyon can be dry or might be a deep pool. WARNING: Slot canyons are particularly dangerous due to the risk of flash floods. Storms far away can send walls of water down the narrow canyons and hikers have been killed in such events. In many slot canyons, it can be miles before a safe exit or rescue is possible. Hikers should check conditions carefully and not rely on seeing the sky to judge the weather. If there is even a slight chance of rain, do not enter slot canyons.
