Paris and Switzerland
View Original Description
Theere are several routes between Paris and Switzerland and how many days is available to get there will determine the best route. Some of the main sites along the way are:
Burgundy wine region
Vezelay, a UNESCO World Heritage site
Towns of Martigny, Troyes or Provins
Skiing in Chamonix
Explore Lake Annecy
Use secondary roads, and while that area of France is not the most scenic, taking such roads is more interesting than using the super highway and might lead to unexpected finds when driving through the small towns.
A driving tour that takes you over the Grimsel, Susten and Furka Pass, or any combination thereof will give a good taste of the Swiss Alps.
If starting from Geneva or Basel consider picking up rental car on the French side of either airport so that there will not be the cross-border drop-off fee.
